Facebook trying "Buy" button to purchase directly from site

Facebook Buy Button : Indigiz
Facebook Buy Button
Facebook is testing a "Buy" button that will be placed on advertisments on Facebook and will allow users to buy products directly from ads without leaving the social networking site.

This button will be visible on adverts on both desktop and mobile application versions of Facebook, and also on the product pages that will connect the users directly to retailers.

"We've taken these steps keeping in mind the privacy of the users and to make their experience more safe and secure", Facebook said in a blog. "None of the information of credit or debit cards of the users will be shared with any third party or company, on successfully completing a transaction. Plus the users will also have an option to store their information for future reference."

This program is currently available to some small and medium bussinesses and users in US, and is expected to benefit both the consumers and retailers. Whenever a user clicks on the BUY button, they will be redirected to a ln external site.

Twitter implemented this BUY button concept this year that facilitates users to buy directly from ads, and Amazon implemented the ability to add items to cart directly through tweets in May.

While it is being tested in US, it is not confirmed when Facebook But Button will come to UK or Asia Pacific.

Android One Smartphone release date set for October in India

Google has recently started its new Operating System Program, called as Android One, which may not seem appealing to a lot of people in USA, but it has definitely given hopes to around 5 billion users around the globe, who are yet to experience Android in their smartphones. As described in an I/O conference, Google has plans to introduce affordable smartphones powered by Android Operating System in the market. Google also aims to put an Android Smartphone in the hands of as many people as possible. This dream of Google will not only help people to have Android and smartphone experience at cheaper price, but it will also help Google to gain substantial market. The program, as described will focus mainly on the emerging markets of the world in the field of smartphones.

The Beginning of Android One

As of now it is not confirmed that which hardware vendor and smartphone maker will have the opportunity to be the first partner in the Android One Program, but as the rumors go and the trends are set, it can be Micromax to produce the sub $100 smartphone, under the norms of Android One. According to the latest news and trends in the market, this Android One powered phone is set to hit the floors in the month of October. It would be quite interesting to see the competition posed by Android One in the Market.

The Strategy of Google for Android One

For the purpose of distribution and marketing of the phone in India, Google could partner with one of the leading online shopping portal of India, Flipkart. It is the most popular online shopping portal of India, and has also provided a strong base to many products including Moto E, Moto X and Moto G, whose sales has broken all the records set previously. Flipkart has also emerged as a launch platform for many new entrants in the market. Recently, the Chinese phone maker Xiaomi (often referred as Apple Inc. of China) has put its flagship phone Mi3 on Flipkart to enter the Indian Market. Launching a sub $100 phone in highly competitive Indian market won't be an easy task for Google, as many local and other makers and vendors are already offering smartphones at a low price band. So to support its sales and for creating the awareness for Android One Program, Google has decided to invest Rs. 100 crore or 1 billion rupees to give this smartphone a much needed boost and a successful product launch.

Features of Android One

Talking about the features of Android One Program, the phone makers would then be able to make budget smartphones, powered by Android Operating System and they will also be able to develop their own apps. Even though the phones manufactured under Android One Program will not be fully Android smartphones, but they will surely provide the experience and software support of Android. Most important part is that the devices under this program will require minimal efforts to be updated. These phones will have the integration of Google Services and will be updated directly from Google like Google Play Edition and Nexus program.

While their is no official confirmation from Google's side about the exact date of launching of this smartphone, the time frame and the duration which is being claimed is quite enough. For any unprecedented update, we still have to rely on the Official updates from company. But one thing is for sure, whenever the phone will be launched, it will surely create a ripple in the market.

How sexy photos impact girls on social media
How sexy photos impact girls on social media
Their have been debates all over the world regarding the craziness of youth over social media and their usage patterns. Posting statuses, photos and getting more comments, likes and shares is a favorite pastime today.

According to a latest study, females whk post revealing pictures of themselves on social media, are viewed by their colleagues as less physically and socially attractive and also less feasible to work with.

This study was conducted using Fake Facebook profiles. "Thus this is a complete negligence of sexy social media photos", says researcher Elizabeth Danniels, Assistant Professor of Psychology, Oregon State University.

"Their is always a pressure on young and teenage girls to portray themselves as sexy, but these photographs have severe negative effects unknown to them." Danniels said.

The study concluded that women who post sexy photos, are tending to lose the interest of their peers and those who post full some photos tends to lose the interest of men and boys.

"The youth is on social media and we must understand what action has positive and negative impacts", she said.

For study, Danniels and her team made two mock Facebook profiles of a twenty year old Amanda Johnson. Both profiles had likes such as lady gaga, twilight saga, enrique Iglesias which are appropriate for a girl of her age.

The main difference were in the profile pictures of both the profiles. One has a sexy and revealing red short dress, with a slit upto mid thigh, and visible garter belt from prom night, while the other had a simple plain original graduation day photo with jeans and fully covered body.

Study participants  were about 120 girls from  different age groups. They were asked to rate both the profiles on a scale of 1 to 7 based on three parameters, physical attractiveness, social attractiveness and task competence.

And the result were as expected, the non sexy profile was rated higher on both the parameters, concluding that posting sexy photos won't help you out.
